About

 Dr. Kevin J. Campbell

Born and raised in Door County, Wisconsin, Dr. Campbell is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who understands the importance of hard work and preparation to meet his patients' needs.

Dr. Campbell specializes in minimally invasive anterior hip replacements, robotic-assisted knee replacements, and outpatient joint replacements.

Dr. Campbell went to UW-Madison for undergraduate and medical school, Rush University Medical Center in Chicago for orthopedic residency, and he completed his fellowship in hip and knee joint preservation and reconstruction at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, which is one of the most renowned joint replacement fellowship programs in the country.

As a fellowship-trained joint replacement surgeon, Dr. Campbell has expertise in both primary joint replacement and very difficult revision cases. Because of his expertise, surgeons in the Fox Valley and surrounding areas often refer their most difficult cases to Dr. Campbell to treat.

Dr. Campbell is passionate about innovation in orthopedics and patient care. He's published more than 30 peer-reviewed journal articles in the field of orthopedics and founded a healthcare technology company that coaches patients before and after surgery with daily text messages and helpful videos.

His program, STREAMD, is now used by orthopedic surgeons around the world and has coached tens of thousands of orthopedic patients through their surgical journey. Joint replacement patients using STREAMD have been shown to take fewer narcotic medications after surgery, have fewer emergency room visits after surgery, have a faster return of joint motion, and have higher satisfaction scores. For this work, he was named “Innovator of the Year” by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and was featured in a Chicago Sun-Times series titled “The Hardest Working Voices in Healthcare.”

As a lifelong sailor, Dr. Campbell enjoys being out on the water with his family in Northeast Wisconsin. He's a loving husband to his wife, Christy, and a loving father to his son, Jack, and their goldendoodle, Lucie. Together, they enjoy waterskiing, sailing, kiteboarding, and enjoying all that Northeast Wisconsin has to offer.
